Unmissable Veterans Day Events in Texas for 2023
As Veteran's Day draws near, not only is the state of Texas ready to celebrate this weekend, but of course the entire United States is ready too. As you get ready to honor our brave men & women in the armed forces, here are some events happening all over the Lone Star State.
Veterans Day events happening in Texas
You can find many events happening Veterans Day weekend all throughout Texas:
- Amarillo will be hosting their Welcome Home: 16th Annual Veterans Day Event, Saturday, November 11th from 11am to 1pm at the Rex Baxter Building
- Houston is holding their Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day Celebration on Saturday at 10am at City Hall. The American Heroes Parade will follow at 11:30am.
- The Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade in Fort Worth will start at 11am on Saturday. The parade will start at at Fort Worth Panther Island Pavilion parking lot.
- The Veterans Parade, Car Show & Cook Off in Roanoke will start at 10am at City Hall and will last all the way until 2pm.
And we can't forget about El Paso. There will be several events happening on both Friday and Saturday.
- Fabens Veterans Park will have their Veterans Celebration at 8am on Friday, the 10th.
- The Old Glory Memorial will have their Northeast Veterans Day Parade on Friday at 10am until 12pm noon.
- The Yucca County Boy Scouts of America is hosting the United American Veterans Organization of El Paso parade on Saturday, the 11th. The parade will take place at Myrtle Ave and N. Florence St. in Downtown El Paso.
- The concert venue Whole Lotta Denim will be hosting a free concert for military veterans on Saturday, Sitting on Stacy & locals.
