  • January 31st - Austin, TX at the Moody Center,
  • February 2nd - Dallas, TX at the American Airlines Center

When was the last time Tool has been to El Paso?

As I wrote about in the past, Tool has only been to our neck of the woods just ONE time before: July 17, 2002 at the El Paso County Coliseum.

Over 10,000 fans went to see this HUGE show over 20 years ago; with only a few of the photos of that past concert existing from this achieved article from The Tennessean. The band performed a total of 16 songs ranging from their UndertowÆnimaLateralus albums. Sadly footage of the show hasn't surfaced online but interestingly, there exists AUDIO from that very concert taken from the audience (which you can hear if you're interested).

Of course fans of Maynard know that wasn't the last time time we would see him & his musical projects;

This has been a long time coming for Tool to FINALLY return to the Sun City.

There will be a two day pre-sale, exclusive to TOOL Army members, from 10am local time tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8th, to 10pm local time Thursday, November 9th. The tickets will go on sale  for the general public this Friday, November 10th at 10am through Ticketmaster.

10 Times Bands Were Wrongly Accused of Being Death Metal

Is it fair or splitting hairs? None of these metal bands are death metal bands, yet they all have received the death metal tag at one time or another.

Sometimes, it's from a listener who may not be familiar with the metal subgenre designations. Other times, it's an error from a publication or TV show.

But none of these bands would ever really be considered death metal — at least not by most metal listeners and critics of the genre. What do you make of these various metal mis-categorizations?
