One of the biggest concerts in El Paso is nearly here; Shinedown, Coheed & Cambria, From Ashes to New & DJ Rock Feed are getting ready to give us an incredible show at the Don Haskins Center, August 2nd.

While this is the first time they will be performing at the Don Haskins, this is NOT the first time that these bands (minus DJ Rock Feed) have BEEN to El Paso. Let's start with the first band that will be playing that night.

From Ashes to New first played El Paso back in 2018

How many times has the Pennsylvanian rockers, From Ashes to New, been to the Sun City? According to Setlist.fm, only about twice before; the first time was in October 2018 at Speaking Rock when they opened up for Papa Roach on their Crooked Teeth tour.

Their other show was at The Rockhouse on March 27, 2022, where THEY were the main act this time. Above Snakes, Kingdom Collapse, Blind Channel & Fire From the Gods all opened up...it was quite the show.

Coheed & Cambria has been coming to El Paso for over 15 years

The New Yorkers, Coheed & Cambria, have been together since 1995; it took them 14 years before they played El Paso for the first time. The first being at the El Paso County Coliseum on Feb 28, 2009.

The 2nd time was just over a year later at Club 101 on August 17, 2010.

The 3rd time was on November 1, 2015 at Tricky Falls. In total, C&C has played El Paso 3 times.

Now how about the main act, Shinedown? How many times have they been to El Paso?

Shinedown has played El Paso off & on for nearly 20 years

Shinedown has been here since the early days of the Downtown Streetfest. Their first time in the 915 was during the 2008 Downtown Streetfest (I already talked about how much that show changed my life).

It took nearly 5 years before they would return but they came back on April 23, 2013 at the County Coliseum.

August 28, 2015 was the next time Shinedown would return, this time to the Socorro Entertainment Center.

Shinedown would play the Speaking Rock Entertainment Center in 2018 on April 14th. In total... Shinedown played El Paso four times.
