Texas Taco Shop Is Presenting a Giant Burrito Eating Challenge

When thinking of great places for Mexican food of course you have your Taco Bells or El Taco Tote to choose from. If you live in El Paso Texas, there's even MORE choices; Chico's or Good Luck Café also come to mind.  However there's one taco shop in town, Rivas Taco Shop on Zaragoza, that's offering people a very unique challenge: eat a burrito in 25 minutes and it's free.

Sounds easy right? Well... there's a catch.

Judging by the name alone, it sounds pretty big. And that photo you just saw? That's not the Anaconda Burrito.

THIS is the Anaconda Burrito...

That is a giant 3 FOOT burrito filled with carne asada, pico de gallo, cheese, chipotle sauce & their signature spicy sauce. Oh and it comes with fries & water so you have something to at least wash it down.

According to the shop, they said that anyone who attempts to EAT this giant burrito only has 25 minutes to eat the whole thing. No substitutions & no one can remove any of the ingredients; you must eat it as it is. If you can eat the whole thing, it's free & any winner would get a T-shirt and get a picture of them on their wall of fame.

If you don't, well you gotta pay for it...all $50 of it (since that's how much it costs to put this beast together).

When I asked the shop if anyone has ever beaten their challenge, they said a total of 12 competitors have tried it... none were successful. So far no one has been able to defeat the Anaconda.

Now I know for a fact that I'm not brave enough nor do I have the stomach to take on this beast, (maybe the man who ate the 10 patty Whataburger is). But if you are, my advice is make sure you have stomach pills. You'll need it.
