Restaurants That AREN’T in El Paso, Texas But They Love Our Food

Yes we love food in El Paso, Texas & sometimes that love is felt OUTSIDE of El Paso. You can feel that love within Texas, or even in other states too. Here are places you can get El Paso styled food if you're NOT in El Paso.

Mom's Kitchen (Van Horn, Texas)

We'll start our mini road trip to some Texas spots; the first one is only 2 hours away in Van Horn is a place called Mom's Kitchen. The owner, Maggie Espinoza, wanted to make sure that her Tex-Mex food was as authentic possible; mixing the green chili from New Mexico & that pure Mexican food from El Paso.

Mom's Kitchen is still open at 403 Laurel St.

Ok let's travel a little further deeper in Texas for this next one.

El Perrito (Austin, Texas)

A favorite in Austin since 2017, El Perritio is owned by Ivan Enriquez, a proud El Pasoan who took his love for the love from West Texas, to Central Texas. You can definitely tell the tacos are from El Paso; they have a striking resemblance to Chico's Tacos.

El Perrito is located at 730 W Stassney Ln #165 in Austin, Texas.

Juarez El Paso Border Food (Las Vegas, Nevada)

Texas isn't the only western state that has love for El Paso; Juarez El Paso Border Food in Las Vegas not only has love for the 915 its name, but some of the menu items as well: the El Chuco Dog or Juarez/El Paso Flautas.

Juarez El Paso Border Food is located at 412 Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV.

El Paso Mexican Grill (Louisiana)

A place that the entire state of Louisiana considers their favorite, the El Paso Mexican Grill takes its inspiration DIRECTLY from getting the recipes & flavors from El Paso. There's at least 3 cities where you can find the El Paso Mexican Grill: Baton Rouge, Denham Springs & Gonzales.

El Paso Mexican Restaurant (Virginia)

If you travel to various parts of Virginia, you might come across a place called the El Paso Mexican Restaurant. Their website even states that they bring "authentic Mexican cuisine" & have street tacos for Taco Tuesday. While the ones in Centreville & Alexandria have has closed (at least according to Google Maps), there's still one location in Springfield, Virginia at 6804 Commerce St.

El Paso Highway 70 (Hickory, North Carolina)

Our final stop on our road trip takes us to Hickory, North Carolina where there's another place called the El Paso Mexican Restaurant (or sometimes called the El Paso Highway 70). You can find this El Paso spot at 505 U.S. Hwy 70 SW.

It's pretty nice knowing that even if you're away from home, you're not THAT far away from home after all.
