Shocking Crimes Unfold: Fast Food Places In New Mexico Hit Hard
We already know that New Mexico has seen some horrible crimes before but we've also seen some crazy crimes be committed at fast food places...Of all places to commit a crime, these should be some of the LAST places anyone would want to cause trouble. But alas, it has happened, some even occurred as recently as 2024...
The Sonic Shooting in New Mexico
On July 25, 2024, a 20 year old Sonic Drive-In employee was shot in the head & was left laying on the ground in critical condition. A 31 year old man, Mariano Romero, was arrested on suspicion of shooting the employee & by threatening a witness.
A Roswell man REALLY wanted a milkshake at Arby's
Tommy Smith was arrested in June 2024 after he threaten to beat up Arby's employees over a milkshake. Tommy refused to pay for it, the cops were called and he was charged with attempted robbery, disorderly conduct, and public nuisance.
That wasn't the only time Roswell was featured in the news either...
A former New Mexico police officer robbed a local Subway
24 year old Valerie Palombi, & an accomplice was arrested in June 2016 for robbing a Subway restaurant. She was later sentenced & convicted in 2019 for her crimes.
An Albuquerque man would stir up trouble at various fast food places
37 year old, Frank Madrid would rob various restaurants in ABQ; including a Dunkin Donuts, a Taco Bell & even a Conoco gas station too before finally being arrested.
And of course...we can't forget about these crimes committed at various New Mexico McDonald's
Such examples include Tim Roberts was beaten by an unnamed assailant at a McDonald's in June 2024, Anthony Hernandez, who broke through the glass at a McDonald's back in 2019, & Ruben Martinez, who was arrested for punching two McDonald's employees in the face around Christmas time in 2023.
And of course there has to be murder too, like what happened at this McDonald's in Gallup, New Mexico...
Of course New Mexico isn't the only state where people love starting trouble at McDonalds'; there have been several people who've committed crimes in Texas too.
