More Texas Music Legends Are Officially Coming to GTA VI

As we get closer & closer to the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI, November 19, we're seeing more information about the game & the soundtrack for GTA VI too.

As someone who's very interested in seeing which songs are going to appear on GTA VI, I'm happy to see quite a few more names from Texas ARE INDEED confirmed to be in GTA VI. Rockstar Games posted on their official website, 6 teasers for 6 different radio stations that will be will in the game:

• Cocoteo FM, which is centered around Latin music.
• Back Country Radio, which is centered around country music.
• Afro Bank FM, which is centered around African classic & contemporary music.
• The Chamber 106.6, which is centered around metal music from the 80's and later
• Flash FM, which is centered around pop music (and a classic from the original Vice City game).
• and Dirty South Classics, which is centered around Southern Rap & hip-hop classics.

Out of the 6 stations, half them of will have at least one artist representing Texas.

GTA VI's Back Country Radio will include a Texas country legend

Waylon Jennings, from Littlefield, is set to be included on the game. The duet that Waylon did with Hank Williams Jr., "The Conversation", was included in the 2 minute teaser for the station. This will be the 2nd GTA game that will include a Waylon Jennings song, the first being Grand Theft Auto V.

GTA VI's Dirty South Classics will include one notable Texas name

Lil Flip from Cloverland/Houston, Texas was featured in the teaser for Dirty South Classics. Lil Flip is featured as a guest artist on David Banner's "Like a Pimp". Lil Flip has appeared in several video games before include NBA 2K19 & Madden NFL 2005, you can see more here.

Finally, one of the loudest bands from Texas will appear in GTA VI's The Chamber 106.6

We finally got a Pantera song in a Grand Theft Auto game. In the teaser for The Chamber 106.6, "I'm Broken" was played in between Black Sabbath's "I" & Slayer's "Raining Blood". I had fond memories of playing this song in Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock (the 6th main game) so I will be even more excited having this song play in GTA VI.

There's another Texas artist that's confirmed to be included on the GTA VI soundtrack; Travis Scott. You can read about his new original song here. You can also read about how many Texas artists have PREVIOUSLY been in the Grand Theft Auto series here.
