When trying to escape the heat, El Paso has some great choices on where to cool off. From Wet N Wild, the City water parks & most recently The Elmont on the west side, there's no shortage of places to cool off. But while those places are outside, there is a spot in Las Cruces you can enjoy swimming & cooling off...INDOORS. That place is the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center.

Where is the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center

Located at 1401 E Hadley Avenue, offers a ton of services; an indoor gym, a party & activities room & of course an indoor pool. In addition to the indoor pool, there's also water slides & a lazy river that runs through the water area.

If you've never seen the inside of the place, you can see some photos uploaded by the Visit Las Cruces, New Mexico page on Facebook.

Of course when comparing to the amount of rides there, obviously there are more rides (and bigger rides) at the water parks. But considering this place offers everything INSIDE, that is certainly a plus during the summer. However they have a small window if you want to reserve time at the Regional Aquatic Center; if you want to swim, they have it 7 days a week from 12 noon to 3pm and 3:30pm to 6pm.

If you want to know about other Las Cruces pools, there's the Laabs Pool (750 W Picacho Ave) & the East Mesa Bataan Memorial Pool (6151 Reynolds Dr).
