Hollywood Stars You Didn’t Know Were From Texas

When you think of famous celebrities from Texas, possibly the biggest ones that come to mind are Matthew McConaughey (who was born in Ulvade), Ethan Hawke (Austin) or perhaps Willie Nelson (Abbott). But there are ones that most of us already know.

There are several celebrities who were born in Texas that I bet YOU never knew were Texans.

Of course, there are WAY more than just 10 famous stars that were born in Texas. Other notable names from Texas include:

• Patrick Swayze, the star of Dirty Dancing, was a proud Texan born in Houston,
• Farrah Fawcett, one of Charlie's Angels, was born in Corpus Christi
• Jamie Foxx, who received a ton of fame portraying Ray Charles in the 2004 film Ray, was born in Terrell
• Woody Harrelson, best known for his role as Woody Boyd in the tv show Cheers (and gaining more popularity from his appearance in Zombieland) was born in Midland
• Bill Paxton, who starred in films like Aliens, Twister & the HBO drama Big Love, was born in Fort Worth
• Shelley Duvall, who gained popularity starring as Olive Oyl in Popeye & Wendy Torrance in The Shining, is also a fellow Fort Worth native
• Jim Parsons, you definitely know him as Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory, was born in Houston
• and of course Queen Bee, Beyoncé, was born in Houston.
