Fort Worth’s Unintended PR Stunt: Atheist “Party” Now Hottest Ticket in Town

The Metroplex Atheists of Fort Worth, Texas are now in a war with their city over 'religious freedom.'

August 26th, they wanted to throw a shindig about the dangers of Christian nationalism, Titled: Keep God Out of Our Public Schools and tried to jazz up downtown Fort Worth with some flashy "atheist" banners.

But, plot twist.

Fort Worth city was like, "Nope, your party's too small-time for our lampposts."

The atheists weren't having any of that, thinking it was more about their edgy message than the length of their guest list.

So, what did they do?

They splurged on a giant billboard (because who needs banners when you can have a billboard, right?).

But wait, there's more.

They went full legal eagle and slapped the city with a lawsuit, saying, "Hey, you're stomping on our First Amendment rights!"

They pointed out that Fort Worth played favorites by letting smaller religious events hang their banners previously.

The city clapped back saying, "It's not you, it's your small event size." A judge agreed, giving the city a high five.

But apparently, atheists are stubborn and don't believe in the judge's rulings, imagine that, and are still trying to win in court.

The irony?

All this drama made their little event the talk of the town.

Way to go, Fort Worth.
