Fort Bliss is ready to rock as their "Let Freedom Sing" concert returns Saturday, September 13th.

Buckcherry will headline this years event. Along for the ride this year are El Paso's own The Roulettes as well as DJ extraordinaire, Johnny Kage.

The show takes place at Freedom Crossing and admission is totally free. Freedom Crossing is located on Fort Bliss and, while the public is totally welcome, non-military folks will need to get a special, (free), gate pass to gain access to the base.

Freedom Crossing is located at 1611 Haan Road, toward the edge of Fort Bliss that runs alongside US - 54.  You can get your pass one of two ways:

  1. Go to the Buffalo Soldier gate at Airway Blvd @ Airport Road.
  2. Go online. Get more info at freedomcrossingatfortbliss.com. Passes can be acquired any day before the concert as well as the day of but, trust me, don't wait.

Last year, Puddle Of Mudd and Adelitas Way played this event and the line at that gate to get in was CRAY-zee long. NOTE: A government issued ID will be required to enter Fort Bliss, even with the pre-arranged pass.

Doors to the concert area, (Freedom Crossing event lawn), open at 6pm. There are a number of restaurants near the gate where you can grab a bite or have an adult beverage or two so, don't be afraid to get there early.
