El Paso Among Texas Cities With The Worst Drivers
Among the top 25 cities with the worst drivers in the United States of America, Texas logged 6 including El Paso. If this surprises you, you haven't been in the 915 long ...
Forbes just ranked the 25 cities with the worst drivers and Texas made the list several times. We have 4 in the top 20 and 2 in the top 10, all pretty close to each other except for El Chuco.
El Paso is actually closer to the worst city in the entire country than we are to our fellow Texans. We're also closer to #4 which is a state and a half over ... Texas is BIG ya'll.
The closest Texas city in the top 25 is San Antonio, 551 miles away from El Paso. #4, Tucson, is a whole state over and still closer at 320 miles. The champ, Albuquerque, is closest of all at 266 miles.
Forbes looked at the 50 most populous cities and analyzed them based on 5 factors:
- The number of fatal car accidents per 100,000
- The number killed in fatal accidents per 100,000
- The number of fatal car accidents involving drunk drivers
- The number of fatal car accidents involving distracted drivers
- The number of fatal car accidents involving speeding - Forbes
All that resulted in a cumulative score per city, you can see the entire top 25 here. The cities with the worst drivers in Texas were: Dallas, (6), Fort Worth, (9), San Antonio, (12), Austin, (24), Houston (23).
Our neighbors with crappy drivers included numero uno ... Albuquerque took first while Tucson had #4 and Phoenix was #8.
El Paso was at the high end of the top 25, coming in at #20.
