Geek Out in El Paso: Cars, Comics, and Cosplay Galore

If there are three things that El Paso loves, it's cars, comic books & cosplaying into your favorite characters. In September, there will be a convention centered around all 3 happening at the Starlight Event Center, 6650 Continental Dr, called Soldiercon 2024.

Who's going to be at El Paso's Soldiercon 2024?

According to Soldiercon's official Facebook page, they put a list of some of the big names that will be attending the convention going on from September 6-8, Friday-Sunday.

A couple of the big names that will be attending include:

• The Fast & Furious stars, Chad Lindberg & Noel G
• Martin Klebba from Pirates of the Caribbean
• David Angelo Roman, one of the artists for the tv show, Ricky & Morty,
• the Marvel comic book artist, Joe "Josef" Rubenstein,
• John St. John, who's voiced video game characters such as Duke Nukem,
• Fireball Tim Lawrence, was has designed cars for huge Hollywood films & tv shows like Jurassic Park, Knight Rider, Extreme Rides & Monster Garage
• and many more

Soldiercon was founded by fellow El Pasoan, Carlos Molina. Not only is he a huge car guy; he's the Business Development Director of Projekt Cars. Carlos has also worked with some big names in the world of comic books like Stan Lee, Todd McFarlane, Tyler Kirkham, Rob Prior, Scott Hattox, Mostafa & Mostafa Moussa.

Carlos was also featured on the YouTube channel, The Comicon; where he revealed more about some of his custom cars and shared more information on Solidercon.

There will be more official information regarding Solidercon coming soon but you can find all the guests that will be attending this year's convention  on their official website. Tickets are $10 a person & military (active duty/veterans) will be able to attend the event for free. You can get your tickets here.
