Crowd Loves This El Paso Teacher’s Singing at a Cowboys Game
It's no surprise that El Paso, Texas has a DEEP love for the Dallas Cowboys. That love is shown everywhere here in El Paso but it's most definitely shown at the Cowboys games themselves. One El Paso man saw the Cowboys play at AT&T stadium on Sunday & he wanted to show his love for the Cowboys the best way he can: by singing for all the diehard Cowboys fans that were outside the stadium.
This El Paso high school teacher wowed the crowd outside AT&T Stadium
Right before the Cowboys played the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, November 10, this El Paso man did his duty to hype up the crowd. Not just by wearing his Micah Parsons #11 jersey, but by SINGING for the crowd at AT&T Stadium. As this video shows, he didn't even need a microphone either!
To quote Tenacious D, his voice was POWERFUL.
It's very impressive singing indeed. But who is this mysterious El Paso man? This "mystery" singer is actually one of the teachers from Riverside High School. Angel Daniel Hernandez is a special education teacher & an assistant mariachi teacher who the teacher of the year awards from 2022-2023.
So how did Angel perform for the Dallas Cowboys crowd? His friend, Albert Becerra, an assistant principal from El Paso who currently lives in Dallas & actually played IN that mariachi group on guitar. He noticed his buddy (Angel) in the crowd, called him over to sing a song & the rest is history.
This wasn't Angel's first time performing with a Mariachi group either; he's performed with Mariachi Los Arrieros & you might have spotted him at Cool Canyon Nights years ago. He even performed alongside Vicente Fernandez too! (he’s the one on the far right)!
Huge thank you to Angel's wife, Kimberly, for telling me about this story & for the photos. Also a huge thank you to Angel for representing El Paso at AT&T stadium & by showing the world your incredible voice!
