Regardless on Who Wins Super Bowl LVII, The Winner Will Be Texas
The stage is set for Super Bowl LVII. After last night's NFC & AFC Championship games, with the Philadelphia Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Cincinnati Bengals, we will see a Chiefs/Eagles match up in Glendale, Arizona; the home this year's Super Bowl.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be fighting to win their 3rd Super Bowl while the Philadelphia Eagles will be fighting to win their 2nd.
While the question is yet to be determined on which team will win, one thing is for certain: there WILL be a Texas quarterback winning this year. Both teams have a quarterback that was born in the state of Texas:
The first being Patrick Mahomes II, born in Tyler, Texas.
We've seen the former Texas Tech QB, Patrick Mahomes, win Super Bowl LIV, becoming the first quarterback to help the KC Chiefs win a Super Bowl since 1970. This could be the 2nd championship win for Mahomes, the 3rd time the Chiefs have appeared in the Super Bowl since 2020.
And then of course we have the new contender, Jalen Hurts.
Born in Houston, Jalen Hurts played for both Alabama & Oklahoma before joining the Eagles as a 2nd round draft pick in 2020. He led the Eagles to a playoff run last year, and this year well... obviously we know the result. Jalen set a record this year, by being the youngest QB in Eagles history to make into a Super Bowl at just 24 years old.
