It's not uncommon to see missing pet posts all over social media in Texas. Fido got loose and ran off, or Fluffy hasn't been home in days, and their owners desperately want them back. However, one thing you don't expect to see is a missing exotic animal.
Case of the Missing Cedar Hollow Ranch Giraffe
That's not the case for the Cedar Hollow Ranch in Strawn, Texas, located in Real County. According to the Real County Animal Shelter - Rescue, the ranch is missing its giraffe. Gracie the giraffe has been missing for two weeks. There is a $5,000 reward for her return.
Gracie is described as having rounded ears. She was last spotted just west of Leakey, Texas, on a game camera.
Now, don't get me wrong, everyone is allowed to have pets, and if you can keep a giraffe on your property, then more power to you. A person can fall in love with a giraffe as quickly as they fall in love with a dog or a horse. Just look at social media. Many people have gained a following by showing off their animals. For example, the emu lady known as Useless Farm on TikTok, and Mommy Farmer, who gained popularity by showing off a baby goat and other farm animals.

Reports have been circulating that Gracie has been found, but according to My San Antonio, as of June 24, she has not been found. If you have any information about Gracie, you can contact the Real County Sheriff's Office at 830-232-5201.
