Urgent Recall Hits Multiple Products in Texas: Potentially Deadly Chicken Among Recalled Items
Eating healthy has become a way of life for a lot of people, or grabbing a salad for a quick lunch is the way to go. Being busy is a way of life, and grabbing easy meal kits for dinner is a must. However, now's the time to check your salads and meal kits because you may have one sitting in your fridge that could make you deathly ill.
Fresh Express
Fresh Express announced that they voluntarily recall their Gourmet Cafe Chicken Caesar Salad Bowls. The bowls include recalled chicken from the BrucePac recall. BrucePac announced the recall of almost 12 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products due to possible Listeria on October 9, 2024.
The Fresh Express Gourmet Cafe Chicken Caesar Salad Bowls were distributed in Texas, and other states including California, Louisiana, and Washington. The following is included in the recall.
If you have purchased any of these salad bowls, throw them away. If you have questions or would like to request a refund contact Fresh Express Consumer Response Center at (800) 242-5472. You can request a refund from the place of purchase.
Reser's Fine Foods
Reser's Fine Foods is also voluntarily recalling meal kits due to the inclusion of recalled chicken from BrucePac due to possible Listeria contamination.
The kits were distributed to multiple states including Texas. The following meal kits were included in the recall.
