The Hugely Popular Taco Chain Which Is Expanding All Across The Country Is Making Some Big Changes.

My son who lives in Atlanta was super excited and geeked up to find out that his favorite restaurant Torchy's Tacos has opened up a new location in his city. He was one of the first people in line to grab some tacos....and some other "things" as well.

The Austin based chain is celebrating its 18th birthday this month by getting rid of some menu items while adding some more to its permanent menu. Let's take a look at some of the changes.

Torchy’s Tacos Reveals New Menu Launching Nationwide In All 126 Locations on August 28th.

The following tacos are being "retired" and headed into the "Taco Vault":

• the Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage
• the Republican
• #4 Breakfast Taco
• Secret Menu’s Ace of Spades
• Torchy's Lil’ Nookies
• The MoFaux Vegan Taco

These items have the chance to come back according to the company's website so its not "good bye" but "see ya later".

The "Republican" Will Now Become The Cougar.

Fan-favorite, The Cougar has officially become the new Republican and The Hogfather, formerly a limited menu offering, is now there to stay. The MoFaux Vegan taco is being replaced with another vegan option the new Fo Sho taco, with fresh avocado, rice, refried pinto beans, grilled onions and more all wrapped up on a corn tortilla.

What Else Is New?

Introducing The Threesome, a "starter"  trio of award-winning green chile queso, guacamole, and your choice of salsa. Also Damn Good Tots, smothered in queso and topped with bacon will be added to the menu.

And finally, breakfast burritos will now be available on the all-day breakfast menu at every Torchy's nationwide, as it was previously a special menu item for Torchy's Colorado restaurants.
