It's an argument that will always rage on, mainly because it is such a great conversation piece. You talk about it with friends in the office, and even amongst those at a party. "I swear, the worst place to live in Texas is..."

Admit it, you've lived in a place that you feel is infinitely worse than the current place you live, and the place you came from is hands down the worst place you could imagine. We've all been there.

Would it surprise you if I told you that the worst place to live in Texas is probably a place you've never even heard of?

24/7 Wall St recently did a study that broke down a myriad of factors and determined what is truly the worst place to live in ANY state. They used data from the Census Bureau, the FBI, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and created a weighted index identifying the worst cities based on 22 different measures.

SO WHERE IS THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE IN TEXAS?

You'll find this gem of a city in Maverick County. If you aren't sure where that is, it's the home of Eagle Pass, TX. located in the deep southwest part of the state. Eagle Pass however is NOT the city we're talking about.

Welcome to Eidson Road, TX., a tiny suburb of Eagle Pass. So what exactly makes Eidson Road the worst place to live? Check out these numbers from 24/7 Wall St.

> Poverty rate: 34.8% (state: 14.0%)
> Median home value: $68,900 (state: $202,600)
> Median household income: $30,464 (state: $67,321)
> Drug-induced mortality: N/A
> Total population: 9,743

The high poverty rate coupled thanks to the crazy low median household income makes for some tough times in this little city.

Now that's not to say the residents aren't happy there, maybe they are. I'm just saying it's probably not a place you're looking at moving to if you have the choice based on these numbers. You can see all 50 states and the worst place to live in them here.
