
Not a Drill: The “Infamous” Stuffed Sopapillas are Making a One-Day Comeback
It's only springtime in Amarillo, but that doesn't stop us from dreaming of fair foods. I mean, they consume our lives for two weeks in the fall, and then they are gone, and we have to wait again.
Occasionally, everything aligns just right, and we don't have to wait for some of our favorites. We have a food truck that caters to some of our obsessions. The thing is that the one item I always had to have was the stuffed sopapillas.

A Fair Tradition Lives On: The Legacy of St. Matthew’s Booth
The only place you could get them the way you remembered was at St. Matthew Methodist Church's booth at the fair. It's been more than five years since they left us wanting more. They stopped serving at the fair, but every once in a while, they come back.
