A grueling event unfolded last Friday as two 20-year-olds, Jewel Garcia and Josiah Moton, were found dead in a murder-suicide, leaving behind two toddlers now in protective care.

Local authorities confirmed the devastating outcome of a murder-suicide that occurred on Friday, involving two young individuals, Jewel Garcia and Josiah Moton, both aged 20. This tragic event has not only left a community in mourning but also raised urgent questions about domestic violence and the resources available to those in crisis.

A DISTRESS CALLED WAS MADE

San Antonio authorities responded to a distress call from Garcia. When police arrived they found 20-year-olds, Jewel Garcia and Josiah Moton dead from gunshot wounds. Garcia's death was ruled a murder and Morton was ruled a suicide.

 Amidst the distress, the resilience of the young mother was highlighted as she protected her children one final time by securing their safety. Jewel's family said she locked her children in a room as everything unfolded.
