Texans are notorious for loving their home state. There is a unique amount of pride a Texan has. That doesn't mean, however, that all Texans stay in Texas. A recent study was done to see which international destinations Texans are flocking to the most. Honestly, it's a little surprising.
According to a study done by Remitly, Texans leaving the U.S. are heading for some particular places. The list isn't all that surprising, considering some are famous destinations worldwide. The top destination on the list was Dubai.
If you're going to leave the Lone Star State behind and have the means, Dubai doesn't sound like a bad choice. Dubai is legendary when it comes to the luxury and experiences that the city offers. If high-class luxury is your thing, Dubai could be for you.
The next destination on the list was one that I never would have thought of. Singapore came in second, and after thinking about it I can see why. Not only is Singapore a business hub with plenty of luxury and shopping opportunities, but there are also many other things to see and experience. The culture is fascinating and is a big reason why so many choose this destination.
Sardinia came in third, followed by Amsterdam. Rounding out the top 5 international destinations for Texans is Paris. The image of a Texan in a big cowboy hat hanging out in Paris makes me giggle. Of course, Paris is a fantastic destination if you're looking for culture, history, art, romance, food, and a taste of luxury.
