An ultra-Karen in Mission, Texas, was caught on camera by other customers at IHOP after allegedly sending her plate of food back to the kitchen four times, making her server cry, and ruining the dining experience for everyone around her in the restaurant.

Parts of the ordeal were posted to TikTok by user @jj_star_eyes and the video has since gone viral with nearly 800 thousand views, almost 2000 comments, and over 98 thousand likes, proving YET AGAIN, that behaving poorly in a public space comes with consequences. The internet is always ready to hold you accountable for acting like a jerk to people working in the service industry.

The number one way to lose every ounce of respect from me is to treat people in food service like they are garbage. I just cannot handle it, and I'm definitely not alone.

9 times out of 10, this treatment seems to come from an older, entitled, white woman. This is just another example of gross public behavior from our elders. It's getting harder and harder to respect them...

This comment below the video really nails it:

"the waitress wiping tears and trying to smile broke my heart 😭i know how bad the anxiety is knowing you have to go back and continue to serve them"

I don't know how many articles I've written about Karens at this point. Hundreds? Who knows? Too many to count. I'm over it.

If you don't want to be shamed across the internet, then simply be a good person when you are out and about in the world. Understand that the world was not made for solely you. Understand that the people around you are just trying to make it through their own day. Have some humility and stop embarrassing yourself this way so I can stop yelling about it in articles. It's not fun for me either anymore.

Your pancakes are not special, Karen, and neither are you.
