Lubbock has been home to some jaw-dropping musical moments — the kind you remember years later, or wish you’d been there to see. Let’s rewind through the biggest and boldest, counting down the Top 5 epic guest performances that shook the Hub City.

4. Amy Lee Joins Korn
Amy Lee of Evanescence makes our list twice, but this one takes the No. 5 spot because it became a regular feature on the tour. Still, hearing Amy’s soaring voice meld with Korn’s heavy energy in Lubbock was electric. They’ve performed together on other occasions, but this night was ours — and yes, we’ve got the video.

3. Amy Lee with Seether
The rock-romance may not have lasted, but the music did. Amy singing “Broken” with Seether’s Shaun Morgan onstage was the kind of vulnerable, powerful performance that made you stop and feel every note. It happened many nights on that tour, but for those in Lubbock, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime moment. No video, but it’s etched into memory.

2. Chino Moreno Surprises with Filter
Some might call this the most obvious choice; others might say it’s underrated. Deftones frontman Chino Moreno unexpectedly joined Filter for “Take a Picture” — and while there’s YouTube video of the night, the audio hardly does justice to the goosebumps in the room. I’m almost certain it was the first time they’d ever done it live together.

1. Sully Erna with Metallica
This one still blows minds. Sully from Godsmack stepped onstage with Metallica in Lubbock for a crushing version of “Sad But True.” As far as we can tell, this only happened once on the entire 2004 tour — right here. We even have rehearsal footage and the full performance. Lubbock got lightning in a bottle that night.

That’s My List — Now It’s Your Turn
Music history can be a blur when you’re lucky enough to witness it. Think I missed one? Got a moment you swear should be in the top four? Let’s talk — I’d love to hear your picks and your memories.
