GAS PRICES: This is Not in California This is in Texas

What in the California is going on here? Drivers in Victoria, Texas, were sticker-shocked when they passed this 7/11 convenience store. The price shows the regular unleaded price as $6.29 a gallon.  When I pulled up to the store, nobody was putting gas in. So I went inside to ask if it was a mistake. It was indeed a mistake that they were in the process of fixing it.  According to gasbuddy.com, the average unleaded price in Victoria is around $2.88/gallon.

Last month this very location sold a big Texas Lottery Scratch win. It's not the top prize but it's a big win in the City of Victoria!  A $50,000 winning ticket was sold in Victoria, Texas at the 7-11 at the corner of John Stockbauer and Mockingbird.  The winning ticket was from the $100 ticket Million Mega Bucks and was claimed on February 26, 2024.  As for now, the winner has decided to remain anonymous. Congratulations to the big winner.
