H-E-B Double Murder Suspect Found Dead in Texas Jail
A 49-year-old Texas man was found dead in jail just days after he shot and killed his ex and his nephew in a "fit of rage."
Lorenzo Aleman spotted his ex, 41-year-old Beatriz Guzman, and his 31-year-old nephew, Jeronimo Aleman Ramirez, in a H-E-B parking lot. Aleman confronted the two, and an argument broke out.
Police say the situation intensified and "in a fit of rage," Aleman opened fire on the two, killing them both.
Aleman quickly got in a vehicle and drove away. Witnesses at the scene were able to get Aleman's license plate number, which helped police track him down. Five hours after the murder, Aleman was located and arrested at his home.
Witnesses from the crime scene were able to positively identify Aleman as the suspect. Aleman would wait to face charges for capital murder.
However, just days later, as Aleman sat in jail waiting for his trial, police made a grim discovery. Officials say Aleman was found dead at the Bexar County Jail at 6 p.m. on July 15th.
According to KEN5, this is actually the 8th Bexar County jail death in 2025.
