How would you like to take a ride on Santa's North Pole Express? You can, and you don't even have to go all the way to the North Pole. This fun event takes place in Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas and tickets are going on sale soon.

Get ready to climb aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Kids of all ages will love the Christmas singalongs, happy elves, and a visit from Santa Claus, all while riding in these beautifully restored 1920s-era coaches.

The North Pole Express excursions begin the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 27, and almost every day through December 30. The train will not run on December 3, 24, or 25.

When you purchase your tickets, be sure to review dates and seating options ahead of time. Tickets are sold by the bench, with each bench seating two people. Ticket prices range from $45 to $50 per person depending on the date and departure time. Children under age 2 can ride as lap riders with a special ticket.

In addition to the North Pole Express, there are so many other events to check out. My husband and I went to Grapevine with friends, and we loved walking around the downtown area and seeing the kids at the Peace Plaza Ice Rink and activities. They also have Christmas Wine Trains, classic holiday movies, Christmas crafts, museum events, and activities at Historic Nash Farm.

Did you know that Grapevine hosts more than 1,400 holiday events during its 40-day Christmas celebration each year? No wonder it's called the Christmas Capital of Texas!.

Tickets for North Pole Express and the other fun Christmas attractions and events in Grapevine at the Christmas Capital of Texas go on sale this Thursday at 10 AM. The train rides tend to sell out fast, so if you want to go, get your tickets early!
