The coronavirus outbreak has not only closed down the American economy, it has also inadvertently put a lot of business owners on the edge financially. So many businesses operate with very little cushion that the closure of the economy locally has spelled doom for their bottom line. One of El Paso's oldest businesses announced today that the coronavirus has caused them to restructure their business and the way you'll get services from them in the future.

Barragan's Salon and Spa will no longer operate as a single day spa. They announced on their Facebook page that their westside location at 690 N. Mesa Hills will now be known as Salon Suites on Mesa Hills. Each service provider will now be an independent operator and instead of a central phone number where you can book an appointment for salon services, the service provider will have their own phone number and will be contacting their clients to let them know about the changes to the day spa. The eastside Barragan's has already made the transition that the westside location is working on. The eastside Barragan's Salon and Spa is now known as Salon Suites on Pellicano.

The Barragans have been in business keeping EL Pasoans looking good for 48 years, so this is a huge change in the beauty industry in our city. The good news is it sounds like the service providers you have come to know and trust will remain at the east and westside locations. If you want to find out if you can still use the service provider you are used to at Barragan's, you can call 915-532-2722.

Sadly, this will probably happen to a lot of businesses as we move forward through the new post-coronavirus reopening of the El Paso economy. We'll keep you up-to-date on any changes with businesses in and around El Paso as we get news of them.
