Historical Presentation At White Sands National Monument

Calling all history buffs! You won't want to miss this historical at the White Sands National Monument this coming Saturday January 3rd!

Take a ride back in time with Territorial New Mexico and the Lincoln County War Association! Travel back in time with a ranger and a living history actor to a period in history dominated by land disputes, developing settlements, and lawlessness in territorial New Mexico. They will be discussing the unique history of the Land of Enchantment and the events leading up to the Lincoln County War.

You can learn about the interesting cultures and historical figures, such as New Mexico's most infamous outlaw, Billy the Kid! Who may show up to explain events as he remembers, his story and he's sticking to it! Meet in the visitor center theater at the White Sands National Monument at 1pm and the event is free!Take the kids! They may learn some valuable stuff about the land they live around! It is a great family event.
