Meet Christina Mitchell, a local musician who wowed us with her talent.

We teamed up with local musician Christina Mitchell to have her perform the national anthem to help celebrate America's Independence Day.

El Paso is brimming with talent and Christina Mitchell is one such local musician who's been playing the fiddle for the last 7 years and has also been classically trained. Mitchell has performed the national anthem for several organizations across El Paso and beyond including the El Paso Chihuahuas, NMSU Basketball games, the dirt tracks in Vado, and Las Cruces, as well as at The Dome at America's Center in St. Luis, MO.

Christina’s love of music has led her to perform with local El Paso band Dusty Low, allowing her to grow musically for the last couple of years. She also just became an official band member of TrailerBand, another local band in El Paso.

We can’t thank Christina Mitchell enough for sharing her talent and Star City Studio Productions for helping us bring her version of the national anthem to our listeners.

You can catch Christina performing all over town with either Dusty Low or TrailerBand - follow her on Facebook at Christina Mitchell or via Instagram @christina.mitchell.music for more details.

Have a happy, fun and safe 4th of July!
