One Dead After Shooting Outside Pre-Grammys Party
Update: On Feb. 8, Supperclub shared a statement on their Instagram (in a post that's since been deleted), saying that the shots fired were in front of the Hollywood Bazaar food market and the Rusty Mullet. The venue claims that the altercation is unrelated to them. TMZ is also reporting that the shooting was unrelated to the Supperclub.
One man is dead following a shooting outside a pre-Grammys party on Saturday night (Feb. 7).
TMZ reports that shots were fired outside Supperclub in Hollywood. Celebrities such as Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Schoolboy Q and DJ Paul were reportedly in attendance at the event.
According to TMZ, two men got into a fight outside of the venue. Shots were reportedly fired, with one man taking a bullet to the head. He later died at the hospital.
Both TMZ and Billboard report that the men involved were affiliated with gangs, although it's unknown if they were ever inside the club. At this time, authorities allegedly have a suspect in custody.
The incident precedes the 57th Grammys Awards, which will be held tonight (Feb. 8) in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, this is not the first shooting connected to an awards celebration. One person was killed and five more were injured in separate incidents that occurred before last year's BET Awards on June 29.
