Google Says This Dress Color Is Dominating Texas Prom 2025

Prom season is here on good ole El Paso, Texas! That means teens will begin the process of stressing over prom-prosals and most importantly- the perfect prom outfit!

Apparently, every state in America has a specific dress or suit color that they prefer every prom season. I swear I don’t make these things up, Google said!!

According to recent data from Google Trends, the color taking center stage in prom dress searches across half the country—including right here in the Lone Star State—is... BLUE.

Yep, blue dresses are sweeping prom inspo boards in Texas, California, Florida, and pretty much anywhere teens are channeling Cinderella-core. So apparently Blue is the trend this year, the color not the emotion- well, depends on who you ask.

Now, here’s where things get wild: while dress colors are more predictable, prom suit colors are doing the absolute most. We're talkin' bold. We're talkin' unexpected.

We're talkin’... Maine pulling a full “Carrie” moment and topping both dress and suit searches with red.

Back to Texas—our dress color may be safe and classic, but teens across the country are clearly not afraid to show up in purple, green, or red suits. Yes, red suits.

So parents, if your kid wants to wear something wild this year—embrace it. Prom only comes once- for most at least!
