Get Ready For The Poetry Slam

The creation and performance of poetry really engages communites and provides a platform for voices to be heard beyond economic, political, cultural, and social barriers.  Poetry is a world where all person have the ability to express themselves creatively using the power of VOICE!

Take part in El Paso's award winning Open Mic show.  Rachel Marie will perform, she is the 2016 FrontEra Poetry Slam winner, oh and she will have copies of her chapbook and CD's up for grabs!

Sign up begins at TODAY at 8 p.m. at the Black Orchid Lounge.  Show goes on till about 1130 p.m. TODAY!  Border Senses will host this event, they are a non-profit literary organization with the mission of promoting art and literature from both sides of the Border!

This event will help shower the artistic and critical growth of all aspects in a safe space for you to tell the stories that sit heavy on your chest and rattle your heart like the inside of a stolen spray can!
