Wednesday August 6

Rudolph Free Music Series at the State Line Bar-B-Q – Shows are 21 and older. On the patio from 8 to 10 p.m. This week, Thieving Birds. More Info

Thursday August 7

Cool Canyon Nights – The free concerts in the cool shade of the 1,500-seat McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre conclude this week. Music on the patio starts at 6:15 p.m. Concessions, including beer, will be for sale. This week on the main stage, Sha'vonne. More Info

Friday August 8

Alfresco! Fridays – Fresh-air performances from local bands playing various genres of music. 6 p.m. No Outside Food or Beverages Allowed. No Pets Allowed. Still downtown, but now on the Convention Center Plaza. This week, Windy City (Chicago tribute band). More Info

Friday at the Fire – Live music by local bands set against the ambiance of the Freedom Crossing at Ft. Bliss outdoor fireplace. 6 – 11 p.m. This week, Joe Barron Band (country/rock).

Saturday August 9

Saturdays in the Park – Bring blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic basket and enjoy a different live band at various parks throughout the city. 6 -9 p.m. This week, Brown Betty performs at Nations Tobin Park, 8831 Railroad. 212-1006

The Fountains at Farah Sunset Sounds – Local and regional band perform in The Promenade at the Fountains for “sunset’ shoppers,” weather permitting, from 7pm to 9pm. Blankets and lawn chair encouraged, food and beverages available. This week, national country music recording artists Chuck Wicks and Olivia Lane. More Info

Sunday August 10

Zin Valle Vineyards Free Music Sundays – Bring your family and friends, pack a picnic and enjoy the afternoon at Zin Valle Vineyards. Free wine tasting and music. 12 Noon to 5 p.m.This week, guitarist and singer Julio Ortiz. More Info

Music on the Patio at La Vina Winery – Bring your favorite wine, snack, or a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of free entertainment on the lawn. 1:30pm – 4:30 pm. 4201 S. NM Highway 28 in La Union, N.M. one mile north of Vinton Road on Highway 28. More Info, 575-882-7632

Music under the Stars – The series concludes with its annual mariachi night featuring Son de Mexico. 7:30pm to 9:30pm. More Info

Melodies at the Park – The annual series highlighting a variety of local acts while showcasing some of the city’s parks concludes this weekend. Bring your lounge chairs and enjoy an evening of music at the park. There will be food vendors on site. 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. This week,  Chuco Soul Project performs at Armijo Park 710 E. Seventh St.
