It's been a tough few weeks since we had to say goodbye to the Food City at the Fox Plaza location.

Thankfully, we still have two other locations to get our Food City favorites:

  • Food City Ranchland at 7444 Gateway Blvd E.
  • Food City Estrella at 3200 Alameda

I think I've been to the other locations once or twice, but Fox Plaza was our go to just because it was a bit closer.

I'm sure the other two locations are just as lovely, and obviously carry (almost) all the same exact things that the Fox Plaza location had to offer; I'm just a creature of habit, and I have to admit that not seeing the Fox Plaza location open is a bit weird.

Apparently both locations didn't carry all the things Fox Plaza had to offer because Food City recently shared an update with their shoppers letting us know that some of our favorites would soon be available at the Ranchland location.

I don't know if you've ever had the tortas at Food City, but they are amazing! Some of their guisados, or stew based foods, included chile colorado, chile verde and chicharrones, which could all be turned into burritos if you're on the go and not looking for a full plate.

Also, the barbacoa at Food City is one of the bests in the city, so as one El Paso hacker stated, order it by the pound, not by single taco.

Of course, one of my personal favorites, is the brisket burrito, and I wasn't entirely sure if the other two location carried it, but for sure now, I'll have to go check it out!

With Food City being an El Paso tradition, I'm sure many are excited to hear the news of the Ranchland location adding some of our favorites back to the deli menu.
