Eva Longoria’s ‘Anaconda’ vs. Hayden Panettiere’s ‘Lady Marmalade': Who Deserved the ‘Lip Sync’ Win?
Earlier this week, you got a sneak peek of Hayden Panettiere's surprise collaboration with Christina Aguilera on Lip Sync Battle, but now that the show's posted full versions of last night's (February 11) performances, do you think it was enough to best Eva Longoria's rendition of "Anaconda" by Nicki Minaj?
In the video above, Panettiere is lowered down to her mark on a swing as the 2001 remake of Patti LaBelle's 1974 "Lady Marmalade" blares from the set's speakers. The Nashville actress commands the stage with wild hair and a daring red corset, but soon, X-tina, one of the song's original features, appears from behind a wall of feathers to offer support. Hayden and Christina flirt with each other and deliver one seriously steamy performance — perhaps they should consider another collaboration?
Later, while sporting a golden robe and a high ponytail, Longoria opts to be carried to set while atop a wooden lounge chair supported by four shirtless dudes. She then joins a team of ladies who work their glutes to the wildly popular Minaj track, recreating key parts of the video like the workout segment and feverish twerking installments. Though the actress does her best to keep up with the booty-shaking, it looks like she might be in over her head. But Longoria steps it up by the performance's end, channeling her inner-Nicki and exacting a perfect ponytail-twirl.
Despite the impact of Hayden's special guest, Eva walked away the winner for her booty-popping renditions of "Anaconda" and "Low" by Flo Rida. Think she deserved the W? Share your thoughts.
