After weeks of being lit intermittently because of various electrical issues, El Paso's Star on the Mountain is shining bright like a diamond every night again.

According to Patrick Espinoza, Director of Marketing and Communications/IT with the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, which is in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of the star, the compatibility issues with the transformer that provides the power and the timer that switches it on and off automatically have been resolved.

He would not divulge specific costs or how it was paid for, saying only "the El Paso Electric company is helping us to mitigate many of the costs. We just all want the Star to be lit nightly once again."

Amen, brother. Because Star = Home. And thanks for stepping up, EPE.
