A Historic Concert Under El Paso’s Spaghetti Bowl
El Paso is about to witness something it’s never seen before. On Sunday, Oct. 5, the city’s newest off-route music series, J&K Detour, is making its debut by throwing a massive concert under the iconic Spaghetti Bowl at Lincoln Park.
This first-of-its-kind event kicks off at 4 p.m. at 4001 Durazno St., and it’s bringing world-class talent to set the night on fire. Disclosure, the global electronic powerhouse behind some of the biggest hits of the last decade, will headline alongside the electrifying Chanel Tres, who’s quickly becoming one of music’s most exciting new voices. Both acts will be performing in El Paso for the very first time, turning the underpass into a stage unlike any other.
Reimagining What Live Music Can Be
The brains behind this ambitious project, Johnny Escalante and Kiki Cervantes of J&K Present, aren’t just putting on another show. They’re reshaping how El Paso experiences live music. Their vision with J&K Detour is to transform unexpected corners of the city into nights full of magic, memory, and music.
“Each installment will pop up in an unexpected location and turn familiar spaces into unforgettable nights that blend sound, space, and storytelling,” the duo explained. The Spaghetti Bowl, already one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, is about to take on a brand-new identity as the backdrop to an unforgettable evening.
The Start of Something Big for El Paso
This is more than a concert. It’s a statement that El Paso’s cultural landscape is shifting in bold, innovative directions. “We wanted to build something that feels magical and unexpected,” Escalante and Cervantes said. “This is about more than a show. It’s a unique experience, and it’s just the beginning of where Detour can take El Paso.”
Tickets are already available, but with hype building fast, fans will want to secure theirs quickly. General admission tickets are available now [here].
What You Need to Know Before You Go
Because of limited parking near the venue, organizers are strongly urging attendees to take advantage of ride-share services like Uber and Lyft. A designated drop-off and pick-up zone will be available near the entrance, making it easier to arrive stress-free and focus on the music.
On Oct. 5, El Pasoans won’t just be attending a show. They’ll be part of history, as the city transforms one of its busiest intersections into a beating heart of sound and celebration.
