El Paso’s Only Women Tackle Football Team To Make Comeback To The Field
Are you ready for some football?! What about some all-women tackle football?! You read that right!
Last year, El Paso’s only all-women tackle football team, The Sun City Stealth, made their grand debut and proved that football isn’t just for men!
If you missed out on watching these powerful women in action last year don’t worry. Your chance to catch them in action this year is just around the corner.
This April the team of strong women will make their return to the football field with hopes of bringing that WFA National Championship title back to the sun city.
The team's 2022 regular season will consist of a six-game schedule that begins on April 9th and runs until May 21st.
Team organizers announced that 40 committed women would be joining this year’s roster.
Twenty-nine women will be returning players from the team’s inaugural season. They will be welcoming eleven new team members for their 2022 season.
“We’re excited and grateful for the potential that the El Paso community can help us achieve,” said team organizers.
Sun City Stealth is affiliated with the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). All players are paid to play during the regular season.
