El Paso Braces for Powerful Winds After Cold Front
Bring your trash cans in, keep your pets inside, and maybe add a little extra glue to those eyelashes because this wind is not playing around, El Paso!!
Earlier this week we had to deal with record breaking heat and now Mother Nature is throwing us some wind, dust, sand and cooler temperatures! A small “cold” front has rolled into the Borderland, and while we’re not exactly bundling up, we are feeling a noticeable shift.
According to the National Weather Service El Paso, temperatures are dropping about 20 degrees compared to yesterday, with highs hovering near 72°F by Friday afternoon. But the real headline is the wind. Gusts are expected to reach up to 55 mph, and they’re sticking around throughout the day. It’s going to be a hair-tie emergency kind of Friday.
