
El Paso Reaches First Triple Digit Day as Summer Heat Cranks Up
Summer has officially arrived in the Borderland! Well, not officially because the official start of Summer is June 21st BUT it sure feels like Summer outside!
After weeks of warm temperatures, El Paso recorded its first triple-digit temperature of 2026 on Monday, marking the unofficial start of El Paso’s hottest season. And if you thought Monday was hot, keep those sunglasses handy because the heat isn't going anywhere just yet.
According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to climb to around 103 degrees on both Tuesday and Thursday, with plenty of sunshine and very little cloud cover. The good news? A slight cooldown is expected heading into the weekend.

Friday brings a small chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms along with a high near 99 degrees. Hey, one degree makes a difference OK!!
Saturday and Sunday are expected to stay just below the triple digit mark with highs around 98 degrees, and rain chances will continue through the weekend. By next Monday, temperatures could dip even further to around 96 degrees.
