If you’ve ever dreamed of starting your own business, or you’re already running one and want to take it to the next level, this is your week. El Paso Startup Week is back from September 21 to 27, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders for a packed schedule of workshops, roundtables, and networking opportunities designed to grow ideas into realities.

The celebration starts this Sunday, September 21, with the Kickoff Party and Networking Event at La Wheela at 6PM. It’s the perfect chance to meet like-minded people, swap ideas, and maybe even find that partner, mentor, or investor who helps you take the leap. By Monday morning, the real work begins, with a full week of sessions covering everything from cybersecurity to harnessing AI for marketing.

Startup Week is powered by more than 20 Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs) and the City of El Paso’s Economic Development Department. As Director Karina Brasgalla put it, “Small businesses are extraordinarily important to our local community because they not only provide job opportunities with greater job satisfaction, but they also strengthen our local economy by directly supporting our families, friends and neighbors.”

That’s what makes this week so special. It’s not just about learning technical skills, it’s about strengthening neighborhoods, building cultural spirit, and showing that the Borderland has the talent and drive to thrive in business.

For a full schedule of events, visit StartUpEP.org. And if you want to keep the momentum going beyond this week, sign up for the City of El Paso’s Economic Development Newsletter to stay connected.

This Sunday at La Wheela, the room will be filled with people who believe in the power of ideas. Whether you’ve already taken the leap into entrepreneurship or you’re just beginning to wonder what it would take, Startup Week is your chance to get inspired, get connected, and get moving.
