El Paso Spanish Group Makes It To Finals for Singing Competition, Tengo Talento Mucho Talento

One local Spanish music group is needing some support from the 915 as they have a shot at becoming the next Spanish superstars all thanks to the singing competition, Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento.

Back in March, the singing competition held auditions for their new season at the local recording studio and music school Sound Stage 9.

Dozens of local talent auditioned for a chance to be the next Spanish superstar and one of those auditions came from Porte De Lujos, a local Mexican Music group made up of four El Pasoans.

Frankie, 21,  is the lead singer of the band, Angel, 19, provides Harmony, Fabian, 15, plays the guitar, and Gibs, 26, who plays the tuba.

The group, Porte De Lujos, started creating music together about five months ago. Gibs and Frankie were already friends and played together with another band but that band did not work out for the boys so they decided to form another band together.

The boys invited Angel aka Wicho to play guitar in the band and after looking around for a guitar player they came across Fabian’s YouTube channel  and invited him to play the 12 string guitar for the group. 

Once the band was formed the boys would play local gigs every weekend. Just five months into becoming a new band, the boys came across the opportunity to audition for Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento and within a week of their audition they were called to have a main audition in Los Angeles for the show!

The group is now excited to have made it to the final round of this singing competition and they need the community’s support to help them win the whole competition.

The group will be heading back to Los Angeles for their final performance this weekend and the final show is set to air in about two weeks. Locals can watch the group's performance by tuning into Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento which airs on Estrella TV channel 9.2. 

$100,000 is up for grabs and of course the chance to be the next Spanish superstars so show these boys some love and support!
