El Paso Singer Khalid’s Music Featured on Two Major Movie Soundtracks
Khalid's meteoric rise seemingly has no bounds.
Music by the just-turned 20 year-old Grammy nominated singer from El Paso is featured on two major movie soundtracks this spring.
A collabo with Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee titled The Ways is on Black Panther: The Album, and the sultry-smooth Love Lies is one of the highlights on the Love, Simon soundtrack.
The pleasantly breezy The Ways sits alongside new music from The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, who curated and produced the soundtrack for the superhero flick.
Love Lies, a team up with Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei, dropped on Valentine's Day. The super-sexy mid-tempo ballad is getting lots of love for both its lyrics and how well the two friends sound together.
Love, Simon, about a gay high school student not yet out to his family and friends, stars Nick Robinson of Melissa & Joey fame, Jennifer Garner, and Josh Duhamel. The teen dramedy hits theaters March 16.
