It’s official, Kraft Heinz along with the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association, announced yesterday that the El Paso Rhinos / El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas is the winner of the Kraft Hockeyville USA 2020 Competition.

Fans came through over the weekend to help the El Paso Rhinos secure the win after the team was named one of the four finalists in the Kraft Hockeyville USA Competition with the winner to be determined by the most fan votes for their program.

The Kraft Hockeyville USA Competition win means that the El Paso Rhinos will receive $150,000 in stadium renovation upgrades from Kraft Heinz, $10,000 worth of new equipment from the National Hockey League Players’ Association Goals & Dreams fund and we’ll also get to host a National Hockey League preseason game.

Winning this distinct honor translates into such a huge opportunity our entire community as a whole - greatly improving our facility, not only for the Rhinos but also for our youth and adult hockey programs in the region, as well as public ice-skating.

The El Paso Rhinos were up against:

  • East Grand Forks Civic Center in East Grand Forks, Minnesota
  • Wichita Ice Center in Wichita, Kansas
  • Wildcat Centre Arena in River Falls, Wisconsin.

The First Prize rink went to East Grand Forks Civic Center in East Grand Forks, Minnesota receiving $30,000 in rink upgrades, while the Second Prize rinks, included Wichita Ice Center in Wichita, Kansas, and Wildcat Centre Arena in River Falls.
