A Twist on Tradition

The exhibit’s title, Indecisive Moments, is a playful nod to Henri Cartier-Bresson’s iconic concept of the "Decisive Moment." Instead of capturing a single, perfect instance, Holt and Akachi delve into the complexity and ambiguity that surrounds life’s fleeting moments.

Tim Holt’s Blurred Series

In his latest work, Holt explores the fragility of memory through Blurred, a striking collection that manipulates photos to mirror the way memories fade over time. Using black-and-white imagery and a unique floating frame technique, Holt invites viewers to experience the elusive, dreamlike quality of recollection. This is Holt’s first major showcase since his innovative 2017 exhibition, where he gained recognition as a pioneer of all-iPhone photography in the Southwest. Tim Holt is also the president of PEEP (Photography Enthusiasts of El Paso) and loves inviting new local photographers to join the group!

Abby Akachi’s Street Photography Debut

Rising star Abby Akachi takes a different approach, focusing on the unnoticed moments of urban life. His debut collection offers an intimate and often raw look at the hidden corners of the city. Akachi’s ability to capture the subtle beauty in the everyday will leave viewers with a deeper appreciation for the small details we often overlook.
