El Paso Once Again Makes The Top Of The Safest Large US City List

El Paso once again ranks high, coming in third on AdvisorSmith's Safest Large US City List.

It comes as no surprise that our beautiful city of El Paso, TX, has once again been recognized as one of America's safest places to live.

In the latest rankings by AdvisorSmith, El Paso gets listed in third place, two slots up from last year's listing published on June 9, 2020. AdvisorSmith is a resource company that provides tools and research to help small businesses succeed.

The study considered several elements, including studying crime data from a federal database to determine the safest cities in the United States by city size.

This report conducted by AdvisorSmith ranked the nation's best 3,107 small cities, 214 midsize cities, and 62 large cities, for a total of 3,383 cities using a combination of 2019 released data from the FBI.

Crimes taken into consideration included violent crimes such as robbery, assault, rape, and murder, as well as property crimes including burglary, and motor vehicle theft.

It's also important to note that El Paso is the only location in Texas to make the top ten of the 62 large ranked cities. El Paso joins the ranks of Virginia Beach, VA, Henderson, NV, and San Diego, CA.

But like I mentioned, the news is not new to El Pasoans.

For years, El Paso has been the recipient of many accolades, including being named one of the top five best places to live in the nation when working from anywhere by Bankrate. This personal finance company evaluated cities across the country to identify places to work remotely back in January of 2021.

A month later, the folks at Move.org ranked El Paso as the 7th best sunniest place to live in, based on the most to least annual clear days using National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) data. El Paso was also the only city in Texas to make that list as well.

It's fantastic news to hear that our hometown is one the safest places to live, giving us even more reasons to not only be proud of our city but to continue to elevate as a community.
