El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department Seeking Local Artists for Downtown Project
If you are a local artist, the City of El Paso is interested in your talents to be displayed in downtown El Paso.
The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) is issuing a call to artists to design and create temporary window murals for the Art Crawl event that will be held by the Downtown Art and Farmers Market on August 4, 2016.
The Art Crawl will tour the Pop-Up Murals that will be painted at local downtown businesses. MCAD is looking for artists to submit their work for consideration. Applicants are asked to submit a compete proposal which should include a full color design that showcases the vibrant essence of the El Paso Downtown Arts District. The call for artists is open to those that live within the 150 mile radius of downtown El Paso.
Applications must be submitted by Monday, July 18, 2016. Interested artists may download an application at elpasotexas.gov/opportunities.
