The El Paso Fire Department is accepting applications for Public Safety Communicator Trainees.

The position of a Public Safety Communicator involves processing emergency and non-emergency telephone calls and dispatch, monitor and coordinate activities of emergency personnel (police, fire and medical) using a multi-channel radio system and a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system.

The ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and two years of general work experience, with at least one year with public contact.
