El Paso Conservative Says ‘No Antifa At Capitol Breech’ On January 6th
The shocking insurrection at the nation's Capitol in Washington D.C. on January 6th continues to be a point of contention between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats say that the crowd that did massive damage to the Capitol when they broke windows, forced their way into lawmakers offices, and rifled through lawmakers desks during their hours long siege on the Capitol.
Republican lawmakers and right-wing media have begun spinning the attack as not a domestic terrorist attack by as an attack by Antifa operatives who dressed like Trump supporters so that people would think that it was Republicans attacking the Capitol. One of the people who was at the Capitol insurrection on January 6 is from El Paso and as you can see from this video, he seems very proud of himself for taking part in the insurrection that day:
Anthony Aguero streamed the attack live from the insurrection and posted a video speaking of the attack aftermath. He has since pulled it down from his social media, but a local political blogger, Jaime Abeytia, was able to get a grab of the aftermath video where Aguero admits that he was part of the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol. He even says that he was at the scene when Ashli Babbitt, a veteran and Trump supporter, was shot and killed during the melee inside the Capitol. He even bragged about getting footage of her blood on the floor.
Abeytia says that Aguero has tried to pass himself off as a journalist to gain access to certain events but he isn't a trained journalist and even resorts to crowd-funding to pay for his gear and trips. Aguero also calls Qanon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene "one of my closest friends." In this article from Yahoo News, he is quoted as saying “It was Trump supporters that did that yesterday. I’m the first to admit it, being one myself.”
Aguero appeared to have disappeared from social media for a time, but here is a link to his page where he tries to defend his actions. History should not be rewritten or spun to protect people who tried to overthrow our government. If Aguero is so proud of himself, he should stop taking his videos of the day and the aftermath down from the internet.
